Bumpy Flight Passenger Guide
The fourth job nobody queues for — and the one that decides whether cabin work is possible.
Passenger is not a joke seat. The official Bumpy Flight description puts passenger care in the same sentence as luggage and fuel. Someone has to sit in the tube, make the requests visible, and stop wandering into the cockpit during rotation. This page is that job. It is how a full lobby becomes useful instead of becoming twenty cameras.
You do not get a class menu. You get a fuselage. If you claim passenger on purpose, you are choosing to be the calm body that cabin can treat. If you claimed it by accident because the Pilot seat was full, stay anyway. Standing up to “help” is how aisles die.
What passenger actually owns
You own your seat, your request, and your feet. Sit when boarding starts. Stay sat when the aircraft moves. If the game gives you a need — blanket, food, drink, medicine — make it visible and wait. Do not chase the cart. Cabin owns the cart. Read cabin crew if you wanted to be the one walking.
You do not own the yoke. You do not own the wrench. You do not own the fuel prompt. A passenger who leaves to “just top the tanks” during taxi has become a fourth Pilot. The crew hub already has titles for those jobs. Use them on the next route if you are bored.
Boarding and the first requests
Public servers look like a festival until the door closes. Find a seat that is not blocking a galley or a tool door. If you spawn in the aisle, sit before you emote. Early requests often fire on the ground. That is a gift. Cabin can clear them before takeoff if you stay put.
If you are in a friend stack, one or two people should volunteer as passengers on purpose when the lobby is already a four-stack of workers. A cabin crew with nobody to treat will invent chaos. A cabin crew with seated friends can practice the circuit that public servers refuse to sit still for. The crew planner can mark those seats so nobody “helps” you out of them.
During climb and cruise
Hold the seat. Camera clips in a narrow cabin make people stand to “see.” Standing during a roll is how you become a ragdoll that cabin then has to treat as a medical. If you want a view, sit in a window and watch the Pilot work. Call needs in chat if voice is messy: “row back, medicine.” Short, located, once.
Do not open CTRL menus next to the cockpit. The same key cuts throttle. If you need the mouse, wait for level flight and step into a galley, or ask cabin to click. Controls exist so passengers stop surprising the aircraft.
When an emergency warning names an engine, you still sit. The engineer is already moving. A passenger in the tool room is a door that will not close. The emergency priority list is not a suggestion to become a third mechanic.
When you are allowed to stand
Stand after the aircraft has stopped and the game agrees the route is over. Stand if cabin asks you to move so they can reach a different passenger. Stand if you are the only human left who can click a stuck ground prompt and the Pilot has already called a rejected takeoff. That is it.
If you ragdoll, stay where you landed until someone reaches you. Crawling into the aisle to “get help” creates a second body for cabin to trip over. BETA will desync you sometimes. Retry the sit prompt. If it is dead, you are a BETA passenger, not a new role.
Why this page exists
Search traffic asks for Pilot and engineer first. Completes are lost on passengers who treat the cabin like a playground. The official loop is prepare, fly, repair, take care of people, land. Someone has to be the people. If your group never assigns the seat, cabin has nothing honest to do and will wander into the cockpit.
A good passenger is quiet, seated, and specific. That is enough to make a four-stack look coordinated on a public server that otherwise films itself into a crash. After you have sat one full route, graduate to cabin. After cabin, try the wrench. The yoke comes last. That order is also the beginner mistakes list, written as a career path.
Play passenger on purpose once. You will fly better when you finally sit up front, because you will know what the aisle feels like when the nose pitches.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is passenger a real Bumpy Flight role?
Yes. The official loop includes passenger care. Sitting still and calling needs is how cabin work becomes possible.
Should passengers help with fuel or repairs?
Not after the Pilot has the plane. Ground leftovers are fine if someone called a rejected takeoff. In the air, stay seated.
What do I do if I ragdoll?
Stay put and wait for cabin. Crawling into the aisle creates a second patient and blocks the person with medicine.
